Sophie Cyrocki, of Brooklyn, went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2018. She was born in Jackson, Michigan to Parents Stefan and Karolina Wozniak on January 14, 1930. Survived by her children, Connie (James) Okoniewski, James (Marlene) Cyrocki; grandchildren, Richard, Lisa, and Brian (Denise) Okoniewski and Shawn (Lisa) Cyrocki; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Stasia Kistka; special friend Fred Kulas. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond Cyrocki; brother, Ted Wozniak. Sophie graduated from St. Mary’s High School and then went on to work for the Secretary of State. She was a lifetime member of the Rosary Society at St. Stanislaus Kostka. She also was a member of State Employees Retirement Association and Polish National Alliance. Sophie loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, going to casinos, and being out on the water. Special thanks to all the great neighbors who have helped her throughout the years. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. Sophie’s family will receive friends on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Rita Catholic Church until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM with Fr. Thomas Helfrich celebrating. Memorial contributions to St. Rita’s Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
